Dr Tom Baker
Associate Professor in Human Geography
Tom researches the politics and practice of policy-making and the governance of socio-economic marginality.

Dr Russell Prince
Associate Professor of Human Geography, Massey University
Russell researches the changing nature of the state and how it governs. He studies the roles of expertise and policy mobility.

Dr Nick Lewis
Professor of Human Geography
Nick leads the project on consultancies. His researches engages with knowledge infrastructures of economisation by which social, political and economic practices and relations are assembled into material and discursive formations such as industry or national economy, and in turn made available for politics, management and policy making.

Dr Emma Sharp
Senior Lecturer in Human Geography
Emma’s research focusses on food politics and systems, the diverse economies of environment, care, and, intersectionality.

Dr John Reid
Senior Research Fellow Ngai Tahu Research Centre
John’s research focuses on the development of tribal economies and Indigenous economic and social development. He works closely with science, policy, industry and Māori communities on impact focused projects.

Angus is a PhD candidate in Economic Geography studying the relations between cloud technology and the New Zealand state. He is a researcher on the consultancy project exploring the significance of recent GMC investments in professional development and recruitment.
